Ashley Henyan is Director of Communications at the Association for Accessible Medicines where she supports internal, external, and member communications and marketing for AAM and the Biosimilars Council.
With nearly two decades experience in public relations, media relations and communications, she previously served as the communications director and global-media spokesperson for the American Red Cross. There she led Red Cross field communications efforts for various crisis—including the Key Bridge Collapse, the 2021 Afghan Repatriation, the National Blood Supply Crisis, Hurricane Michael, Hurricane Dorian and the 2019 Alabama Tornadoes. Ashley’s work has been recognized nationally and internationally: with an honorable mention nod in 2017 for user-generated content from the PR Daily Content Marketing Awards, two Silver Telly Awards for branded content in 2022, and the Citeline Global Generics & Biosimilars Awards Marketing Campaign of the Year in 2025.
Ashley holds a B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, as well as an M.A. in Screenwriting and an MFA in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. She is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in AI Strategy for Communications Management from the University of Denver.
