Prof. Dr. David Francas is Professor of Data and Supply Chain Analytics at Worms University, Germany. Before joining Worms University, he held the position of Professor of Logistics and Information Systems at Heilbronn University. Additionally, he serves as the Managing Director of the Steinbeis Institute for Supply Chain Optimization and Digitalization and is the Head of the Healthcare Supply Chain Institute.
Prior to starting his academic career, he worked as a project manager and consultant for an internal consulting group. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Mannheim, Germany.
Dr. Francas' research and projects revolve around supply chain strategy and analytics in life sciences, with a particular focus on strategies to increase supply chain resilience and combat drug shortages. His work has been published in various books, leading academic journals, and industry publications. His opinions and research findings are frequently featured in prominent national and international media outlets.
In addition to his academic commitments, David regularly serves as a strategic advisor for pharmaceutical companies, as well as leading industry associations and the German government.
